  • Make efforts to guarantee that a procedure for assessing and enhancing the caliber of patient treatment or services is in place.
  • Refrain from engaging in or supporting patient and individual discrimination, and put in place measures to stop discriminatory organizational practices.
  • Ensure that there is a procedure in place that notifies patients and other relevant parties of their rights, opportunities, obligations, and risks with regard to the healthcare services that are provided.
  • Make sure that a reasonable and impartial procedure is in place to assist in resolving disputes that may occur when the values of patients and their families diverge from those of staff members and medical professionals.
  • Show zero tolerance for misuse of authority or power that endangers patients or other people who are served.
  • Work hard to establish procedures that guarantee the independence and autonomy of the clients being served.
  • Ensure that there are reasonable and equitable protocols in place to protect the privacy and confidentiality of patients and/or other individuals you serve.
  • Ensure there are continuing processes and guidelines to assess, develop, and consistently implement.
